'Women of Britain - Come into the Factories'

War is a long term thing that needs a lot of supplies such as food, weapon and especially human resources. A country not only needs people to marches into the war, but also people who work and supply resources to the army. To encourage their citizens to engage themselves in helping the country to win the war, they did some posters which were able to persuade the people.


This poster is done by Philip Zec during 1941 for British government to encourage women into war industry to help win the war. A woman is act as the main attraction in this poster and the background has factories and planes. The main title in the poster is 'Women of Britain. Come into the Factories' 

The sentence 'Women of Britain, Come into the factories' is straight-forward for viewers to know this is a posters who is asking women to work in the factories in order to help win the war.The woman is act a denotation in this poster and her gesture is giving the viewers a kind of feeling where she is confident and also powerful which is quite powerful to persuade woman to took part in it. Meanwhile, the war planes at the background is a sign for viewers to know this job is involving in helping the war. 

This poster did not only helped British government to encourage women into war industry but also giving a women the right to be a part of the things that should be involved in.
